Double Exposure

Douglas posted a video on the blog earlier that featured a lot of double exposure (found here). This is more often a static photography technique that blends images. Below are some examples:






This technique has since made appearances in video, such as the opening to the HBO drama True Detective embedded below.



I want to expand on the possibility of using this technique because I feel it would work with our project for a number of reasons.

Firstly it would create consistency between the band footage and the narrative, because we could leak footage of the narrative into the shots of Blek performing using double exposure.

It would also help blend the nature-orientated shots we're planning into the video without them appearing out-of-place.

Also, it just looks really good. It could definitely bring a professional quality look to the performance footage.
